Knowing
We Know!
(I mean, we knew! That is, we NOW know…!)
This story would be funny….it is funny, but it’s also tragic, because it illustrates a point about the evolution position that has been true since it started – that is, it’s always changing! The evolution model is itself evolving. What’s so tragic about that? Simply this: generation after generation is bombarded with evolutionary “evidence” that becomes truth in the minds of many. People spend their lives having been fooled by lies based on misrepresentations and misinterpretations – and they are seldom informed when evolutionist scientists discover that they’re wrong. Anomalies to the theory keep forcing it to change.
A perfect example of this can be currently found in the Smithsonian’s Natural History Museum in Washington D.C. There we find, in the “Human Evolution” section, a scene depicting a paleontologist digging through the dirt in search of Neanderthal Man relics (the paleontologist mannequin itself looks like it belongs in that era!). On the wall behind the scene is a map of the world. The land areas on the map are colored green and orange. The legend below the map next to the orange key says: KNOWN DISTRIBUTION OF NEANDERTHALS.
What would that mean to you? It would tell you that all the areas colored orange on the map would be places where scientists discovered evidence of Neanderthal life. Right? After all, these are scientists, and they have interpreted the evidence at these sites to be conclusive – they KNOW that these are Neanderthal sites! Therefore, everyone viewing that exhibit would naturally believe that, since unbiased scientists have carefully scrutinized the evidence, they must be right, and those sites must indeed be Neanderthal sites.
However, on the railing right in front of the viewer of this exhibit is a sign that says: What’s New in Evolution? This sign goes on to describe the “new” interpretations and the new evidence about Neanderthals that render the map obsolete. This sign then closes with the phrase …“so the map on the wall is wrong”.
Do you understand the significance of this? Here we have one sign that says that scientists “know” something, then another sign that says, in effect, “We were wrong. We no longer ‘know’ this – we now ‘know’ something else”. It’s nice of them to admit it, and legitimate mistakes are made from time to time. However, it illustrates the point that the theory of evolution, in all the various aspects and details, is constantly changing, and therefore, completely untrustworthy. What they “knew to be fact” 20 years ago when the exhibit was first made has now been scrapped in favor of something new that they now “know to be fact”. In another 5 or 10 years, it will change again.
Is this a fundamental nature of truth, or of fallacy and deception? (Note: Has the biblical view of origins ever changed?) It makes one wonder: How many other things in this museum that they, of course, also ‘know to be fact’, will (or should) be scrapped? □ Back
