Cavemen

DID CAVEMEN EVER EXIST?

Cavemen as we have been taught are hunched-backed, primitive, leopard-skin wearing men. Although some people may have those characteristics, the implication is that the first evolved man was savage. An alternative view of a caveman is simply a man or woman who lives in a cave. This does not mean they are primitive but rather, they have found free and durable shelter. After the flood, all homes were destroyed, but caves had been formed through the carving of the flood waters. These provided shelter for Noah and his family, as well as many who left the Tower of Babel. They sufficed as adequate homes until new and cities were built. In addition, the flood wiped out all pre-flood technology, so the bones, stone hammers, and other “primitive” tools were in use because the other tools were destroyed. It is little wonder why evolutionists believe ancient man was primitive, but if they were to put this into a Biblical framework, they would see that Noah and his family, and all others living shortly after the flood, had to use whatever they could to survive since everything they once owned was destroyed. We today would be forced to do the same thing if we lost all our posessions!
The Bible mentions many instances where people lived in caves, either for a short duration or because they were hiding. The following are a few of those verses: Job 30:6 ; Heb. 11:38 ; Gen. 19:30 ; Jud. 6:2 ; Ezek 33:27 ; 1 Sam 13:6 ; 1 Kings 19:9 ; Jer 48:28 ; 1 Kings 18:13 ; and Rev. 6:15 . An interesting note: the reference in Revelations is in regards to people seeing God in the heavens, and they are hiding because they are afraid. In the future, we will still have “cavemen!”
Even today people choose to live in caves. Caves require low costs of extra materials since the home is built into a rock or mountain. These homes are energy efficient because they maintain the same temperature throughout the year. Such cave homes are built in Cappadocian, Turkey. See below.
Many of these, including hotels, are being built in Turkey.
What about the Neanderthals who have the unique facial features? Aren’t they evidence of an evolutionary ancestor? In his book, Buried Alive, author Dr. Jack Cuozzo researched the skulls of Neanderthals. He found that the human head does not stop growing as we age. Compared with a 19y/o human, an 80y/o human had the following cranial changes: the brow ridge came forward; the jaw came forward; the nose got bigger; the chin came forward; the cheeks came forward and flattened out; the teeth came forward; and the back of the head started to point out. All of these are characteristic of the Neanderthal fossils. Granted, these are small changes that happen, and maybe they aren’t as prevalent in the elderly (age 80-100 population), but considering that people lived for centuries before Noah’s Flood, these facial characteristics would have been much more prominent. So, the Neanderthals are not pre-Homo-Sapiens, but actually “regular” Homo-Sapiens.
